Give your light a landscape to rise from with Caldera Base™. Inspired by volcanic terrain, its dark, sculptural form rises into a rugged, crater-like rim, framing the glow of your chosen orb or decorative lightbulb. The base provides ambient upward illumination, bringing the colours and details of the piece above it into view.
A sculptural foundation: Irregular ridges and textured contours recall the edges of a volcanic crater. The dark finish creates a striking setting for luminous colours, making the base part of the artwork itself.
Illumination from below: Light rises through the piece placed on the base, revealing its internal patterns and delicate formations. Together, base and light create an atmospheric accent for bedside tables, shelves, and creative spaces.
A thoughtful pairing: Pair Caldera Base™ with a compatible Space Artsy orb or decorative lightbulb to create a display that feels personal. Its understated colour complements a range of designs, from woodland greens to celestial blues and warm amber.
A deeper narrative: Inspired by the meeting of rugged earth and radiant light, Caldera Base™ gives an imagined world a place to rest. Its crater-like silhouette invites you to see your chosen piece as a small landscape of colour, texture, and light.

Caldera Rechargeable Base
I wanted the light to have a landscape to rise from. When I imagined an orb glowing in a quiet room, I kept returning to the space beneath it. I pictured dark terrain, uneven ridges, and a small world resting just above them.
That image became the starting point for Caldera Base™.
I was drawn to the shape of a volcanic crater—the way its edges gather around an open centre. It felt like a natural frame for light, giving the colours above it somewhere to begin.
I wanted those rugged contours to remain visible when the lamp was on, catching a little of its glow. Together, the base and the piece it holds could become a scene you pause to look at.
There is something satisfying to me about finding the right place for an object you love. A favourite piece can take on a different presence when you give it room and a thoughtful setting.
That is what I hope Caldera Base™ offers: a place for your little world to shine.

Caldera Base™ features a dark finish and a textured, crater-like rim. Raised ridges and irregular contours give the upper edge its rugged appearance, while the clean lower form creates a defined foundation for the display. The recessed centre provides upward illumination beneath a compatible orb or decorative lightbulb. As light reaches the surrounding contours, it highlights the sculptural detail around the rim.
Its design brings texture, form, and illumination together, framing the piece above it as a complete decorative display.
